process

since this was my first real project, a lot of the early time went into figuring out the basics. how to build logo elements that could actually resize without breaking. i made several versions, adjusting shapes and proportions each time, less about style and more about understanding how to construct things properly in illustrator.

the logo went through multiple rounds. each version was a small correction. tightening the shape, reconsidering the weight, testing how it held up small and large. it took more iterations than expected to get something that felt resolved.

the business cards came together early, but using the first logo version, which at that point was too bare. no texture, minimal detail, and a lot of empty space that had nothing to hold it together. laying it out on the card made it obvious the logo wasn't finished yet. it was useful to see it applied, even if the result wasn't quite right, it pushed the logo work further.
