cmok

project overview
cmok is a self-initiated brand identity and website for a fictional ljubljana café and bakery concept. the scope covered everything: logo, color palette, typography, packaging mockups, and a figma-designed website. the challenge: build something playful and intimate, with a visual system that lets the product and the story behind the name.

process

five iterations testing different typefaces against the same kiss. the lips were the starting point. the question was which letterforms would sit naturally beside them. The final pairing has the closest match: bold round letters whose curves echo the shape of the lips, so type and image read as one piece.
Early process work: brainstorming typefaces, building color palettes, and drawing the lips by hand. Each element was explored separately before it came together. This set (Rouge & Dust) leaned softer than where the brand eventually landed.

the first version of the website, designed in figma. the layout was already there. mid-process i discovered google stitch, which let me iterate faster and translate the brand directly into a working web layout. i rebuilt the site from scratch. the final version keeps the same structure, but feels tighter and more brand-consistent than this figma draft.
