cmok is a self-initiated brand identity for a fictional ljubljana café and bakery concept. the scope covered everything: logo, color palette, typography, and packaging mockups. the challenge: build something playful and intimate, with a visual system that lets the product and the story behind the name speak for themselves.

cmok mission statement, target audience notes, and moodboard references

Before any visuals, the groundwork: a mission statement, core keywords, and target audience. cmok exists to put a little affection into your day: playful, local, warm, dependable. The moodboard pulled references from bakeries and cafés with strong illustrated mascots and bold, unpretentious type, which shaped the direction before a single logo sketch was drawn.

Five variations on the same wordmark, each swapping the lips mark into a different position and weight to find where it read most naturally as a logo rather than a novelty. The bubbly lettering was locked in early; what took longest was getting the lips to sit inside the "O" without breaking the rhythm of the word.
